Members of Parliament from J&K called on Home Minister Discussed Restrictions on civilian Movement on National Highway



Members of Parliament in the Upper House from Jammu & Kashmir Nazir Ahmad Laway and Mir Mohd Fayaz called on Home Minister Amit Shah at New-Delhi. The two leaders discussed the prevailing political situation in state particularly Kashmir Valley. As per the statement issued, the leaders have expressed resentment on the restrictions imposed on civilian movement on National Highway. They have urged Home Minister to review the decision as the netizens are subjected to inconvenience. They have sought relaxation for all essential vehicles including Ambulances, School, college and University vehicles. The two leaders said that they have informed the Home Minister that the students are facing inconvenience due to reatrictions imposed as they are being stopped for hours due to which they miss their early classes. The duo futher said that this kind of restriction is against the interests of our state.
The two leaders also highlighted various issues of public importance including Construction of AYUSH hospital in Kulgam, Procurement of MRI Machine and other medical equipments for District Hospital Kulgam, Macedamization of various roads in Kupwara. construction of Karnah Tunnel, Construction of lift irrigation / water auppyl scheme for various areas of Kupwara. Construction of various bridges. Development of Chanser-Behibag Road, Development of Kulgam Yaripora Road, Establishment of Urban Haat At Kulgam, Press Club for Anantnag and Kulgam, Amusement Park at Kulgam and other developmental projects were also discussed.
